WhatsApp Adds New Group Poll, @all Mention and Chat Creation Features

WhatsApp has announced a new set of group-chat features designed to make it easier for people to coordinate decisions, notify a whole group and create related conversations.

The August 4 update includes improvements to polls, an @all mention option and a faster way to create a new group chat from members of an existing group.

Polls can now have an end time, hidden voter names and limited editing after creation. WhatsApp is also adding an @all mention that can notify everyone in a group at once. For groups with more than 32 members, the feature is limited to admins.

Another change allows users to create a new chat using people from an existing group without adding each member manually.

Feature availability may vary as updates roll out across devices and regions, so users should keep WhatsApp updated through the official app store.
